tetanus - tetanus ii (EP)
released on may 20, 2022
genre: hardcore punk
not really proud of this one but it's there i guess. a slower version of this ep exists though so i can't complain. and it directly led to the below release, which is waaaaaaaay better.

everyone is alone sometimes - everyone is alone sometimes (EP)
released on may 5, 2022
genre: HARDCORE FUCKIN PUNK!
one of my favorite things i've ever done tbh. i wrote a bunch of more complex songs for tetanus and no one wanted to learn them, so i recorded a few of them by myself, plus two new ones. raw fucking fast hardcore punk. i think i recorded this in like three hours on december 22, 2021. pure lumpy/minutemen/hologram worship.

floating cloud music - love is a burning building that will suffocate us all (LP)
released on october 1, 2021
genre: art rock (i hate that term but it works here), indie rock/pop, emo, dream pop, noise pop, etc.
third and last of my "growing up" trilogy.
probably the first record i made where i pushed myself to go beyond my limits. this record took three and a half years (from ages 18-22, february 2018 - april 2021) to materialize. every song i wrote for this were pieces to a poem, and real fucking extensions of my mind that i articulated the exact way i wanted to. i can't compare it to other bands, i therapized myself writing it, and i would not make this kind of record today....which i why i'm so proud of it. i have no idea how to follow it up which is why i haven't released any new floating cloud.
out of everything in my discography, i wish more people looked at this one. no regrets other than the stupid font of the text on the cover.

floating cloud music - FCM2 (EP)
released on may 7, 2021
genre: slowcore, art rock (i hate that term but it works here), dream pop
songs that didn't make the cut for love is a building building. first one recorded in 2021, next two recorded in 2020, last one recorded in 2017. released the last one because someone the last tune from an unreleased tape of mine and uploaded it to youtube, so i put it on here. recorded almost entirely on cassette/analog tech.

tetanus - tetanus (EP)
released on december 23, 2020 via sorry state records
genre: hardcore punk, noise rock
i played drums in these two terrible punk bands for like three months (mainly because i'm primarily a drummer and our types are scarce...), and then when covid happened we decided we hated the singer and formed a different band. recorded may 2020
the production on it rules, i just wish we wrote better songs.

kevin & the bikes - ironic songs (LP)
released on november 14, 2020
genre: indie rock, noise pop, emoish
the record that shocked everyone. who knew the shitcore band could actually write good songs?
turbulence is one of my favorite songs i've ever written, and intellectual bean-spill and salamia never get old being played live. i wish we had like another six months to work on this album though, it could've been really fucking good.

floating cloud music - floating cloud music (EP)
released on february 29, 2020
genre: midwest emo, slowcore, shoegaze, dream pop
floating cloud music is the "continuation" of pink pots i guess, but it ultimately became my singer/songwriter thing. after the third k&tb album i plan to return to it. that being said snowtheme is the best song i've ever written....it captured my sophomore year of college extremely well.

componote - ep1 (EP)
released on january 25, 2019
genre: indie rock, folk punk bleehhhhh
i hate this fucking ep. i was listening to a lot of folk punk then and it just sucks....the lyrics are pseudo-intellectual and i didn't take any time to flesh out the songs. elevator song is good and i prefer the briskberry version of "for what reason".
that being said i had a great time being in this band. we just shouldn't have put anything out though.

kevin and the bikes - dorkcore 101 (LP)
released on january 5, 2019
genre: just plain ol dorkcore
i've reconciled with this album over the years. i hated it when i put it out because of how much it overshadowed adolesence jacket. but i also hated it because it revealed my mental state at the time and how i chose to cope with it, which was endless post-ironic dickery that took absolutely no willpower, robbing me of what confidence i had left anyways. i also thought i would never be taken seriously again because of it.
i will never understand how this album got as big as it did, and putting it out certainly stopped my years long obsession with recording shitcore. that being said, enough time has passed to where i actually enjoy listening to this again.

pink pots - BYE (EP)
genre: midwest emo, post-hardcore, dream pop, art rock?
released on august 3, 2018these were the tracks i liked enough to release after my lp. i made a lathe cut for it and sold it at the last pink pots show.

pink pots - adolesence jacket (LP)
released on june 8, 2018
genre: midwest emo, dream pop, art rock?
second of my "growing up" trilogy. my only regrets about this record is that i wish i'd recorded the drums in a studio, and i wish i'd put it out on a label. this was my first REALLY GOOD record, and it still holds up. i definitely pulled the "i hate my high school town" pop punk shtick, but i didn't go that route musically at all due to my discontent for a lot of the "twinkly emo"/pop punk bands i was playing with at the time....and thank god. this album took two years (ages 17-19, august 2016-april 2018) to write and record and it shows. i got kicked out of nukelele to record and tour this (no regrets there).
one of these days i will re-mix and remaster this album, and release some of the other ~100 songs i wrote for this album alongside it.

nukelele - 50th state (LP)
released on may 19, 2017
genre: lo-fi, folk punk, death metal
the last of the three nukelele albums because we all graduated high school right after this. more death metaly than the others. instead of writing songs together we moreso just wrote songs individually. nick wrote the more metal incluenced songs - "loihi", "archipelago of paradise (but also death)", "tectonic shattering", "magma chambers", and "the bane of the beach". i wrote the softer, more punk and indie rock stuff - "hawaii is my home", "the middle of the pacific", "50th state", and the classic "pyroclastic flow". cody wrote "is hawaii a plural noun", a somehow midwest emo-y tune.

pink pots - the life and times forthcoming (LP)
released on september 23, 2016
genre: lo-fi, indie rock, a lot of synths, kinda emo
first of the three "growing up" trilogy albums i recorded. my first solid record. took two years to record. i think it still holds up. a rather synthy record...influenced a lot by grandaddy, teen suicide, daniel johnston, kleenex girl wonder, sweet trip, merchant ships, and iwrotehaikusaboutcannabalisminyouryearbook.
cover hasn't aged well though. it's my friend waving, and i thought it looked like he was pointing to the sun initially, which i thought was really cool. wasn't years later till i realized it looks like a nazi salute.....

nukelele - the specific ocean (LP)
released on june 9, 2016
genre: lo-fi, folk punk, death metal
nukelele's second record and our first thematic one. it's personally my favorite nukelele record because we all banded together to write it. we recorded and finished it just in time to put it out for the release show, and download this is the cd version with bonus tracks!
it's kind of a stupid band, but hey, it was fucking fun and that's all that matters, right?

hyperultra - radiation world (EP)

genre: synthpop
throwaways from facesquare that i uploaded to bandcamp after i had no idea what to do with them. out of this bunch really only wrath and radiation world are really even that good.

nukelele - saved by the luau: a true hawaiian's eulogy (LP)
released on december 14, 2015
genre: lo-fi, folk punk, death metal
nukelele's first record. for the first year we existed, we had a google doc we filled out with song titles and fake albums that we eventually made real albums. we put out an album every month. all of these albums were absolute shit, but they had some good cuts. this record compiled the best of all of those crappy records, slapped em on a cd and streaming, and we played our first show. my favorite memory of the whole night was speeding home in my 2006 honda pilot full of music gear, blasting nervous gender, knowing i'd be doing this for a lifetime.

pink pots - ekzodia (LP)
released on september 23, 2015
genre: indie rock, noise rock, lo-fi
pink pots' first release, and i refuse to call it anything more than a demo. it just isn't good at all, half the songs are unlistenable and this whole album was recorded in maybe two months.
an odd fusion of synth punk, invent yourself a shortcake NMH-style tunes, and pop punk. and then flowery purple onsra? i still like "we trespassed to make this music video" and "20th century" a lot. everything else can be discarded, this band would go on to better things.

hyperultra - facesquare (LP)
released on july 15, 2015
genre: synthpop, post-punk, lil bit of ambient stuff
hyperultra was initially this stupid internet electronic music thing i started when i was 12, and i started off making awfully produced dubstep and chiptune. it eventually matured into a somewhat unique sounding synthpop project, with some occasional post-punk stuff popping up here and there.
facesquare was the third entry into "the blue albums", which were two EPs and then this LP. it's not a bad record, a little immature (specifically mirror, which was obviously directed at someone i hated in high school), singing could be way better, and i'm much more proud of this one than fucking ekzodia. but as life went on i got uncomfortable with something that i had started as a 12 year old being on the net, so i zipped it.
that being said, something romantic is probably one of the best songs i've ever written, and i can't believe that 16 year old me wrote that.

hyperultra - titan (EP)
released on june 6, 2015
genre: synthpop, ambient pop, post-punk kinda
a hype ep for the release of facesquare. per the original bandcamp description, this is what i used to record this:
"The following was used on this album:
Moog Sub Phatty (3,4)
Roland TR-8 (3)
Casio CTK-7000 (4)
Yamaha PSR-11 (3,4)
FL Studio (1-4)
Audacity (3-4)
iPhone 6 [recording vocals] (1-3)"
pretty good songwriting overall and generally good production. i wish the singing was better!

hyperultra - vandalic (EP)
released on september 24, 2014
genre: synthpop, ambient techno, ambient, some chiptune influence?
aaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnndddddddddd here's the end....this is the earliest thing i'm willing to put up here.
all this time later, living song is probably the only thing i think is great on here, but this was my first step to releasing music that i felt entirely confident in. the last song suuuuucccckkkksssss
